The White Rose

The White Rose became the symbol of a resistance group of young Germans in the "Third Reich". They stood for the values, which were sacred for them: freedom, charity, trust in God, reason, joy for life and free thoughts. The core of the group consisted of the 21 to 25 aged students Hans and Sophie Scholl, Alexander Schmorell, Willi Graf and Christoph Probst. |
In June 1942 the members of "the White Rose" created leaflets which appealed to demonstrate against the mental suppression of the "Nazis". |
