Biography of Hans Scholl

Hans Scholl was born on September 22nd, 1918 in Ingersheim - Crailsheim - Württemberg (today Baden-Württemberg).

Together with his brothers and sisters he was brought up to act and think independently. Hans was a very thoughtful, critical and just person.

His appearance corresponded to the national - socialist image and since 1933 he was an enthusiastic member of the "Hitler Jugend" (Hitler youth).

At the "Nürnberger Reichsparteitag" in 1936, he was allowed to hold the flag as a "Gruppenführer" (Group leader). But from this meeting he came back changed. He was disappointed, because he realised the real face of the Nationalsocialism (no individualism, no possibilities for discussing).
